Computer Cut Window Tint is a must for Quality Installation

Computer Cut Window tint

Computer cut window tint has been out for about 15 years. Not all window tint shops carry computer window tint because unless you have a high-volume shop it’s not worth the expense of investing in the equipment and software. A lot of window tinters hesitant on embracing computer cut because they thought expense was too much and that they do better quality and cutting the tint. They are many reasons i write  below why going to Window Tint Shop to have your car tinted and having the computer  pre-cut your window tint  and not have them hand cut the tint

100% Accuracy

We love our employees, but when it comes to cutting tint no human being can deliver the level of precision possible with computer-driven machines. When you bring your vehicle to Flying Window Tinting our technicians use an extensive vehicle database to locate the exact size and specifications of your vehicle’s windows. The computer can then dial in those specs, and transfer them to a cutting machine, also known as a plotter, which cuts whole clean pieces of tint according to the exact size of your windows.

No Knives, No Risk

Our plotter does all the cutting, so all our technicians have to do is peel away excess tint and apply it to your vehicle. Since our tint pieces are all pre-cut, there never a time that a knife used near your vehicle. There no risk of damaging glass or rubber seals. Be wary of other tint shops that lay tint on your windows and cut it directly on your vehicle. We found over the past 10 years. The glass got a lot softer on the chance of scratching. Glass has gotten higher if you cut on the car.

The glass that cars come with now is a lot softer because they are trying to reduce the weight of the glass so it’s not as dense as in older cards. Another risk of using a knife to cut your tint on your car is that. When they cut on the edge of the glass where there are a rubber trim chances of them cutting the rubber increases quite a bit. And I saw some cars where you cut the rubber too low it could cause leaking in the car. Not to mention the cost of replacing the rubbers which many companies that are not reputable might not want to cover the cost process to give a quality job I know damage to the customer’s car.

Expert Installation

Once the machines have done their thing, it’s time for our certified window tint installers to take the pieces and skillfully apply them to your windows. With years of experience, our installers can deliver a near flawless fit, and since we cut whole tint pieces. There is no need for additional cutting and the margin for error even further diminished.  I have been tinting for over 25 years And by far the computer cut process is its biggest game-changer in the window tint business. this gives it our installers a better product to work with since all the windows are cut the exact same way. When you cut by hand you may have a different edge or corner on one window opposed to another window on the opposite side of the car.

Which Method Looks Better?

Can a veteran window tinter do just as good a job of cutting film as a computer-controlled plotter? Nine times out of 10, the answer is yes. However, what about those days when there are distractions? What if the knife gets dull? A fact of life is that accidents happen. Cutting your window film on a plotter means that we do not go near your vehicle until it is time to clean the windows and begin the installation. The plotter cuts the same path every time. The lines are perfectly straight, with no jagged or wavy edges.

Your Vehicle is Not a Cutting Board

Installing window film on your car or truck requires cutting each piece of tint to size and applying it to your window. Historically, tinters would lay a large piece of film over your window and, using a bright light, cut along the visible edge of the window with a sharp knife. Once the tint is cut, it can installed on the inside of the glass.

The problem with cutting window tint on your vehicle is that the knife can mark or scratch your glass. These cut and scratch marks can cause stress points in your glass that could lead to failure in sudden temperature swings or if a hard object hits the glass. Removing the scratches and cut marks nearly impossible.

Hand-cutting window tint also runs the risk of damaging the rubber seals around your windows and plastic trim. Your paint can be scratched because someone is leaning over your car or truck for extended periods of time. We are not saying that tinters that cut by hand cannot do a good job– they simply expose themselves and your vehicle to more risk.

Computer plotters cut film pieces with exact precision

The information they use accessed through a large database containing film patterns that match the glass and body dimensions of your car model. The patterns developed utilizing the best practices for the automotive tint industry. All the templates that come in the software carefully designed by the car manufacturer to give the exact size and measurement to each window.  Nowadays with everything made from computers. There is no variation in sizes. So you will always get the perfect fit with a cut from the computer.

A computer cutting plotter is consistent

It cuts a pattern the same way every time. This eliminates the problem of human error, which is extremely common in the process of making patterns by hand. They reduce film waste due to miscuts. They also save time from getting your vehicle tinted and delivered back to you more quickly. If you concerned about the environment, it’s important to note that reducing wasted film material and energy also reduces the carbon footprint of the company using the system, your car is safe from cutting mishaps.

No cutting occurs on any part of the vehicle. Cutting automotive glass patterns by hand without etching or scratching the glass requires an extremely delicate touch and years of experience. Damage to glass, paint and rubber gaskets by sharp blades are common when using the older technique. With a plotter on the team, your immaculate and beloved car won’t going under the knife.

 Security for your Family

If you intend to set up a safety system in your brand-new cars and truck, don’t neglect the one element that’s usually ignored: the window tint.  Car and truck window tint does not simply enhance the look of your vehicle. The tint on the glass, in fact, adds a layer of security to stop break-ins. Many times if you park in an apartment complex or shopping mall thieves walk by cars quickly to see what’s in the car.

If you have window tint on your car it makes it hard for the thieves to see in the car and usually he just moves on to the next one. Once the film is in place, thieves are incapable to see into your vehicle, which decreases their capacity to see anything of value that you may have left inside. also if they smashed the window. The window tint will keep the glass together instead of breaking two small pieces that may be dangerous if you’re in the car.

 Security at night while driving

When you get on the road, you need to take your individual safety and security seriously. When the interior of your cars and truck shows up to passersby, you’re not as risk-free as you should be. This is specifically true when you travel alone or with your children. With a tinted film on your Car or truck, passersby will certainly not have the ability to see inside your car, which will assist keep you much safer. This is especially good if you are traveling home late at night from work by yourself and you stop at the traffic light. It will make it hard for people to see in your car to see if you’re by yourself.

Security if you get in an accident

Window tint offers occupant safety and security during car accidents. Vehicle accidents commonly result in broken windows. However, if the car windows aren’t tinted, they might smash on impact.  if you have window tint on your side windows and the window breaks the film will keep the class together and prevent it from breaking in small pieces that make the cut or hurt you or your family.

Security tint to prevent carjacking

Depending on where you live and how much security you want to give to your vehicle. They make a special window film that is 12 mm thick. These films are very thick that if somebody smashes the glass it will keep the glass together and it is so thick that they won’t be able to push the glass in the car. This type of film is more common in countries where they have a lot of kidnapping or carjacking. It prevents people from smashing the window and attacking the driver in the car while you stop at a traffic light.

The window tint is so thick that it makes it impossible for them to get inside the car and gives you the few seconds to get away. Many of high-level government officials have their cars outfitted with this product and also in countries where violence is very high like Mexico Venezuela South Africa. In America, I don’t think you need that but it is an option if you feel you need the additional security while driving your car or truck.

How to Maintain Window Tint so it will last longer?

How to Maintain Window Tint so it will last longer

Doing Proper maintenance on your window tint will let your window film last a lot longer even though you get a warranty his best to maintain it properly so you don’t have to get it redone. Many times when you have to redo the windows they may damage your defrosters or scratch your glass. Also, a lot of times a company might not be in business still. So your warranty might not be worth anything so if you follow the following steps it will let your window tinting on your vehicle last a lot longer.

When You First Get Your Window Tint?

When you first get your window tint it needs time for it to dry to the glass property. The installer cannot take out all the water time of insulation. So you cannot roll the windows down for three to five days while the sun dries out the rest of the water out and then the heat from the sun sticks the solar film to the window properly. So don’t be concerned if you see a fuse minor bubbles in the window tint when you first pick it up they will go away.

Best way to clean your Window Tint

The best product to clean your window is to use a  window cleaner that does not have ammonia. The window tint has a clear coat on the top layer which protects the tinted layer from scratching and chemicals and damaging it. But ammonia in glass cleaners after a period of time starts to destroy the clear coat.  Once that clear coat damaged it will look blurry and needs to be replaced.  So we recommend a window tint cleaner that is ammonia free. The one our shop recommends using our shop daily called Spray away window cleaner.

How long window tint last depends on the brand and warranty you get from the manufacturer?

Just maintaining the Windows using the proper cleaning and not damaging it may not necessarily make your windows last forever. A major factor in the longevity of your tint is the quality of the material. American-made Window Films last a lot longer than the imported window films from China or India as their main focus is a cheap price so they use cheaper materials. Another major reason that will affect the length of your window tint job is where you live.  if you live and the Northern United States or you have a very short summer your window tint will last a lot longer than if you live in the Southern United States like Florida or Arizona where you get the Sun a lot longer.

Things that you damaged your window tint that’s you wouldn’t expect?

Some things you might expect to damage your window tint are things like seatbelts hitting it. When you take off the seatbelt do not let it fly off as some have a strong spring on it and it might hit it on the glass beside you. After a period you will see small holes in the tint on the glass. Also carrying a ladder, tools, aluminum beach chairs, etc in the rear of your vehicle and it hits the glass will scratch it. Many people lend their cars are friends to move stuff and they bring it back scratched or damaged. So if lending out your car it might be wise to advise people to be careful on the window tint on the inside.

So just a bit of care when you have sharp metal objects you transporting in your car. We find the only thing that makes any scratches are things that have a metal edge.  Wood or plastic doesn’t seem to damage it.

Having pets around your window tint?

Having pets in your car does not damage your window tint.  We find the claws of cats and dogs are not sharp enough to scratch the tint. The biggest problem is when they rub their nose they leave a lot of smudges on the glass. But a good glass cleaner will clean that off and we had advised not to leave the smudges on too long . You can also get a plastic silicone cleaner that leaves a silicone film on the window and sorts of acts like an insulator against things sticking on the glass. Just make sure it’s chemical-free that won’t hurt your pets

Car washes don’t always use the right product to clean your car

Most car washes know not to use harsh chemicals on window tint. We find here in Florida they are knowledgeable on the best products that won’t damage your tint. But if you live up north where Window tint is not as popular you might want to tell them first that you have window tint and to use ammonia-free chemicals. Also, make sure they don’t have any sharp objects like buttons on clothes or when they’re cleaning it not to have their rings damage it.

How much your car is exposed to the Sun during the day

One of the final factors we find that determines the life of your window tint is how much sun exposure it has during the day. Some people parking and Underground parking While others are parked outside. If you park outside and the sun shines on your Windows 8 hours a day. It will reduce the life of your window tint.  We recommend parking the windshield towards the Sun or parK under a tree or shaded area.  If that’s not possible  rotate  the car each day so not one window is towards the sun all the time

Conclusion

in conclusion, the best way to maintain your film is to prevent it from scratches and to reduce the amount of sun that exposed to a daily. Most films in cooler weather will last  15 to 20 years if it’s a good quality film. In the South when it’s a warmer climate good quality film usually lasts between 10 to 12 years. if you get a good quality film like llumar 3M they come with a lifetime warranty and if you keep the receipt they will redo it free of charge parts and labor.

What is llumar Film Air Blue 80 Window Tint

What is llumar film air blue 80 window tint

AIR  blue is a window tint made by llumar film and the manufacturer’s name is Eastman Corporation.  the TINT  has been in production for about five years and has had a steady growth because of the performance of the air blue 80. air blue 80 is a very light film that put on the windshield reduces the heat by 43% it stops 99% UV rays. They are many benefits for this window tinting  I will show below

What is a Ceramic Window Tint?

Ceramic film is one of the best qualities of window tint it’s also one of the more expensive films because of the manufacturing to get it to perform as well as it does. A lot of the other films use a metal particle in between the tint to reflect Heat but it interferes a  lot with electronics. So the newer cars we use ceramic there is no Metalized products in the tint and it highly absorbs a lot of heat prevented from coming in the car.

Some great examples of products that use ceramic to reduce heat are like ceramic tiles. That is used on swimming pools also that use ceramic tiles on the older spaceships. So when is coming into the atmosphere from space the ceramic cools down the heat build-up on the walls.

Do car windshields come tinted from the factory?

The windshield does not come tinted from the factory. Some vehicles they have tinted a 6 inch banner on the top which cuts down on the sun getting in your eyes while you’re driving. But for the longest time, the biggest problem for windshields is that it allows a lot of heat to come in the front because of the angle of the windshield. Also after a few years, the constant heat on the dash starts to fade or even crack the dash,

Benefits of tinting your Windshield with Air Blue

There are quite a few benefits of installing Air Blue on your windshield one of the most obvious ones is keeping the heat from coming into the car because the windshield has a slant sometimes as much as 40 °. The more of a horizontal slant that a window has the more heat it comes in the interior of the car.  A lot of heat comes in from the windshield and from the rear window opposed to the side windows. Side windows have no angle. So the heat is not as intense as It comes from the front windshield or back window. A lot of heat enters the car and is absorbed in the front dash recently a lot of cars that have those computer screens have been having problems when the temperature gets over 85 degrees when the car is parked for many hours.

The constant heat build-up effects the screen we’ve been finding when we install the llumar film Air blue window tint it’s stops the problem of the heat build-up on the screen. Also, another Advantage is protecting your dash. If you park in the sun say while you’re working the dash can come sometimes come up as hot as 140 degrees and after years of heat buildup on your dash the plastic will start to dry out and eventually crack. Also, we have found fading on the dash has been quicker than the older cars since they could be using less quality material as manufacturers try to keep the cost down. People who have installed Air Blue I’ve noticed a huge difference in keeping a lot of heat out and having a much more comfortable Drive on days that are sunny and the temperature is above 80°

Are blue gives you 99% UV protection?

Air Blue stops 99% UV rays. UV rays are one of the main causes of color fading on your dash and also on the steering wheel. We have found that when you put on Air blue you protect your dash color which is an excellent reselling value. If you try to sell the car you know three to five years down the line

Air Blue is electronic friendly?

Another advantage of Air Blue is that it does not interfere with any of your electronics. Over the past 5 years or so we are using a lot more Electronics in the cars. The new electronics a much lower frequency level is a lot more sensitive to any insulation that will reduce its strength   So it’s a lot more sensitive to any insulation or Metalized film on the glass.  Air Blue does not interfere with any Electronics or weaken any signals from inside of the car. Car manufacturers also recommend a ceramic film with a more expensive car as not interfere with any electronic signature sensors or signals that let the car run efficiently. We have also found with some other customers that their calls get drop easier with older films. But when they put on a ceramic they noticed a stronger reception and fewer drop calls. Air Blue also helps if you have a navigation system in your car keyless entry backup cameras another wireless product in your car
